starbucks giftcards are a hoax...

Starbucks complaint by Bogus
If you recieve a giftcard for starbucks make sure you register and get a reciept everytime to use your card. The cashiers have the ability to delete the amount or use inappropriate methods to take all your credits out and leave you with zero. I've had this happen to me several times even when i first used the card. I've seen it happen and know that the kids who work in those places don't really care if they ***.

I also have a complaint for the gals who work at the Alton Parkway location. I watch you work and know who you favor and who you don't. If you're going to make "special" drinks for your favorite customers, please don't do it in front of other paying customers who pay extra for the extra shot of espresso or vanilla or extra whatever. That's just bad business, but again, I don't expect much from those who get paid hourly anyway...

i work for starbucks also and i have no idea how to take money off of a card...next time that happens why don't you report it immediately or even to a starbucks regional office, instead of writing it here

If this has happened to you several times, perhaps you are the one not loading the card correctly? there is no way someone can take money off your card if you aren't buying something. There are plenty of other things in this world to be paranoid about.....freak out about something more concerning than your morning coffee, please!

There is no way a cashier can magically take all the money off of your card. Sorry.
