When did cash not become allowed??! Handed over a $50 bill; all that I had!!!

Was treated like crap and told no; after stating where’s the sign? Not my fault you don’t have the change (even though you have the $ bc your coffee is expensive!), well hand it over for free bc I have cash and trying to pay but if you do not want the money well I still want my drink! The manager finally exchanged the change and said “just the once”. That’s funny just this once you’ll accept a $50 bill CASH?!!!

Wtf? Post a damn sign if this is the rule!!!!

Most businesses will have a sign indicating that certain denominations of bills will not be accepted. If it is their policy, it should have been visible to the customers.Glad they did it for you.

Big bills are generally not accepted because they likely have a policy of only keeping $5's and $1's in their cash register. Sometimes they get hit by a few $100 bills back to back and the manager will allow it, but it is essentially wiping out all the change money they have on hand.
