Starbucks - Devaluation of rewards for grocery store purchases
Without any notice that I have been able to find, the value of Starbuck rewards for a package of 12 oz coffee was cut in half (from 10 to 5 stars). While they award 2 stars for every $1 of in-store purchases, they now apparently award less than 1 star for every grocery store $1 spent.
The fact that you can only find this out after the purchase is pretty low.
To put the value of this reward program in perspective, it would now take 25 purchases of a bag of coffee (more than 18 lb) to earn one free latte. Some reward.
Reason of review: Rewards program changes.
Preferred solution: Provide notice of rewards program changes.

How is this a real problem?
I have been a gold member for 2 years, my sister has been a gold member for five years. And we were both shocked that they now only give you 5 stars for the smaller bags you buy in the grocery store.
As if having to spend over $60 just to get a reward in their store isn't bad enough now you have to spend even more.
It's really greedy and cheap and I'm thoroughly disappointed with Starbucks having done this without warning or notification or anything. We need to do something about this, class action?
