DEAR STARBUCKS, We live here in Sacramento, CA and have been to many Starbucks throughout the U.S. NEVER, until yesterday, May 17, 2017, at approximately 5:30 PM, at your Starbucks located at the Sacramento AMTRAK train station, have we ever been treated in such a mean, inhumane, and racist manner as we experienced at this Starbucks.

We are two senior citizens that walked into Starbucks after visiting the Historic Old Sacramento area near the AMTRAK station. As we approached the rest rooms, a 6'6" man with a large Great Dane dog was leaving one of the two restrooms as the door locked behind him. I approached the Starbuck's service counter for the restroom pass code as my girlfriend waited at the bathroom door in an urgent need to go *** I asked one of the two Starbucks female employees for the pass code, and her reply was for me to go ask the other female employee. After waiting for the second employee to finish with a customer, I asked again for the pass code to the restroom.

In the nastiest sarcastic manner the Starbucks employee told me that neither of us could use the Starbucks restroom without buying something from Starbucks FIRST. Other than being two old people, the Starbucks employee has absolutely NO IDEA if we wanted to wash our hands before sitting down to eat at Starbucks or if one of us was becoming ill, or if we needed to freshen up, or simply relieve ourselves before eating and drinking at Starbucks... OR JUST VISITING.... Prior to the rude and racist conduct by your two Starbucks employees, we had not even decided if we were going to take a break and purchase refreshments in your store or not.

Neither of us had ever seen or heard of Starbucks treating senior citizens and human beings worse than Great Dane dogs. If this is going to be the norm in the future at Starbucks restaurants, you may as well take down your big green logo and hang a Confederate flag over your front door.

Starbucks shouldnโ€™t conduct business and treat anyone as though Starbucks is a cheap gas station out on the interstate. JW Sacramento, CA

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Starbucks Cons: Rude and racist location, 3rd street at i street amtrak train station 95814.

What proof is there in your complaint pointing to racism?

The man with the dog was apparently a customer and he and his dog have nothing to do with your complaint. You degraded your complaint by claiming racism because you provided ZERO evidence to back up that claim. Apparently, this location has a problem with non-customers hogging (and dirtying up) the facilities.

I can believe that fast food employees working at a worse-than-usual fast food location were less than thrilled with yet more people coming into the store simply to use the restroom, but what exactly was racist about that?!?! Racism, without any doubt, still exists.

Look at Trump and Kaepernick. But, dear Jesus, the reason some people tune it out is because of of people crying "RACISM!!!" when there was nothing racist involved.
