Starbucks - WAIKIKI SHOPPING PLAZA - NO ALOHA HERE
Having breakfast with my lady friend here at Waikiki Shopping Plaza, and met up with some other mates from our flight and we were laughing and enjoying our first morning in Waikiki. We had just landed from Sydney.
We noticed that the blue, bald shirted Guard at Waikiki Shopping Plaza was "shooing" away some locals from the area while looking at us with shifty eyes. Were we making too much noise laughing on our vacation?? This Tall bald guard in a blue shirt however made no mention or effort to shoo the Japanese tourists away. We saw this sign on our tables...Does Starbucks at Waikiki Shopping Plaza only want Japanese Tourists, and only English speaking tourists and locals must leave in an hour?
Why is the sign not in other ASIAN languages?? We noticed that the stores were catering to the Japanese tourists, sizes were different for our ladies. AUSSIES and other English speaking tourists in Waikiki - Stay away from this WAIKIKI SHOPPING PLAZA - Suble but CLEAR RACISM at work on KALAKAUA Ave the tourist MECCA of WAIKIKI?? Why isn't this sign in Japanese and Korean as well?
We felt harassed as the blue shirted guard kept circling our two tables as if it was time to leave. Not Classy and NO ALOHA at the STARBUCKS in WAIKIKI SHOPPING PLAZA .
Reason of review: Poor Service, racism , not Starbucks we know when visiting States.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Starbucks Cons: Way the security guard treats customers, Guard needs starbucks service training, Very disrespectful and unpleasant customer service.

Guard has nothing to do with Starbucks Coffee Co.
